Far From the Madding Crowd

I’ve been on a film kick lately. I’ve recently seen the Woman in Gold which will touch your heart, Dior and I which will inspire you, and While We’re Young which might amuse you. I was very much looking forward to seeing Far From the Madding Crowd but just realized I’ll be out of the country when it is released on May 1, 2015. I just pulled the classic love story novel by Thomas Hardy off my bookshelf until I can get to the movie.
Far From the Madding Crowd stars Carey Mulligan as “the independent and headstrong Bathsheba Everdene” in Victorian England who attracts three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak, a sheep farmer played by the hunky Matthias Schoenaerts; Frank Troy, a reckless Sergeant played by Tom Sturridge; and William Boldwood, a prosperous and mature bachelor played by Michael Sheen.
Carey Mulligan also covers the May 2015 issue of Vogue to promote the film so I guess I’ll make due with that too until I can see the movie.
