If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know that another thing I started to notice during my two weeks in Paris were brightly colored winter accessories. It was interesting to see since we always think of the French as wearing mostly neutrals but these bright pops of color add an uplifting mood booster during the dreary winter weather. I also realized that very few of them actually matched their outfits. I suspect they chose their favorite color and add the the hat and scarf with whatever they happen to be wearing that day. I already ordered pink and pale blue but I might need to get a red one too. They also make great gifts to give yourself and others this holiday season.

I included colorful socks since I did see them in Paris although I do not have photographic evidence. As I stated before, no self respecting Parisian would dare go out in the cold without socks. Bare ankles are a sure way to identify a tourist so make sure yours are covered for your winter trip. And don’t believe what other influencers are showing in their videos of bare ankles and ballet flats. No one wears this look in cold weather in France.

As I was writing this post, videos from the Chanel Manchester fashion show started to appear on Instagram and what to wondering eyes should appear but colorful hats and matching scarves.
